Meet Drakes new Sports Therapist & Rehabilitator Sophie Richards!

I'm delighted to say that Sophie has officially joined the coaching team here at DJC and will now become a regular presence at our training sessions and competitions.

Sophie is a 3rd year student studying Rehabilitation in Sport and Exercise at Plymouth Marjon University. She has previously completed placements in a variety of settings and sports including American football, the Plymouth half marathon and provided therapy for the Devonport Field Gun crew in training and competition.

Having Sophie as part of the Drake coaching set up is a wonderful opportunity for DJC, having expert advice in dealing and managing injuries will be invaluable also taking this responsibility away from our Judo coaches so that they can concentrate on delivery.I don't know of any other judo clubs that have a dedicated resource for Physical Therapy so please utilise her time
