DJC @ The Devon Closed Championships

Judo's Devon Closed competition in Paignton proved a marker for the young up-and-coming Drake Judo Club. In 2016, the club’s first year, they had achieved 32 individual medals from the performances of their judoka. With January less than a week over the club has already equalled that. Their junior and senior players have beaten competition to 12 gold, as well as gaining 11 silver and 9 bronze. At the Devon Closed some of the club’s judoka competed above their weight and in combined categories, but still walked off the mat with 4 Devon champions in their ranks.
